At the top of 2007 while reviewing our project vehicle lineup potential additions, many vehicles were considered, but the "must have" model was agreed to be the 2007 Porsche 997TT. From every automotive publication, to televised reviews overseas, this vehicle has been lauded for its power production, handling prowess, and overall "balance" as a comprehensively developed platform. It was decided that a White on Black color combination would be ordered from Germany with 6MT, Sport Chrono, Locking Diff, and OEM color matched interior trim pieces. As always the first modification was wheels, for this applications it was decided early on that a Brushed Aluminum Finish would be utilized over Full Chrome. The racing pedigree and lines of this vehicle would be interupped with such a lusterous finsh, was the final thought. MODULARE Wheels had just recently introduced a new model, the M6 which was a new twist on the classic motorsports mesh design. The MODULARE M6 was chosen because it blended the sporty aggression of a mesh wheel, with detailed faceting and spoke contour which gave it a hint of luxury, perfect for the 997TT's balanced platform. The 20x12 rear wheel with sizable lip was a "fringe benfefit"! Another very important deciding factor in the use of these wheels was the fact that accepted all OEM ancillary hardware, including Centercap, Lug-Bolts, and Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors. The wheels were paired with Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires, and H&R suspension. The H&R's got the nod as they allowed the OEM PSM stability control system to remain 100% operational, and yielded a significantly lower stance. With the wheels and suspension sorted, it was time to address the exterior details. A full aero kit was ruled out simply because the OEM lines of the car as clean and stand out in a crowd already. We simply had the OEM lower mouldings color matched, to add a more uniform appearance to the car and visually lower it as well.
